The Education of Children for God Is Every Parent's Primary Purpose

"The education of children for God
is the most important business done on earth.
It is the one business for which the earth exists.

To it all politics, all war, all literature,
all money-making, ought to be subordinated;

and every parent especially ought to feel, every hour of the day,
that, next to making his own calling and election sure,
this is the end for which he is kept alive by God
--this is his task on earth."

Quote by  R. L. Dabney

Robert Lewis Dabney was a great American Christian theologian, a Southern Presbyterian pastor, and Confederate Army chaplain. He was also Chief of Staff and biographer for General Stonewall Jackson.

Dabney rightly saw God's perspective on education, which is a multi-generational vision of according to Psalm 78:4-7, Deuteronomy 6:5-7, and Matthew 28:18-20.

God has always assigned this greatest task, this most important business, to Christian parents; that is, to the family and the home, and never to the government or state. This is the primary purpose of every parent and the main reason that God gives parents the gift and stewardship of His children.

God our heavenly Father desires "godly offspring" (Malachi 2:15) and has commanded all Christian parents to "tell the generations to come the praises of the Lord" so that they should teach their children and their grandchildren "to put their confidence in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments (Psalm 78:5,7)." I encourage every Christian to meditate upon Psalm 78:1-11 before the Lord day after day for twenty-one days, asking the Spirit of Truth to give you a revelation of the mind of Christ regarding how to educate your children according to Christ, how to educate your children for God.

The IndoctriNation of Public Schools Vs. Educating Generations for Christ

I strongly encourage you to watch this trailer for a recently released  made by two award-winning Christian documentary directors/producers, Colin Gunn and Juaquin Fernandez. These guys just won the BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM AWARD!

This is an in-depth look at the state of  in America, what philosophies  is built upon, how it compares to God's plan for parents to educate generations for Christ according to the truth and principles of God's Word, and how this government monopoly institution is destroying Christianity in America - by systematically corrupting America's  and destroying them spiritually, morally, and intellectually.

IF you are truly a "lover of the truth"
and willing to listen to the facts objectively,
IF your heart is open to hear what the Spirit is saying,

THEN dare to watch the trailer...

Now that this movie has been released, make a commitment to yourself and to God to do whatever it takes to watch this .

This film is a prophetic wake-up call to all

This film puts its finger on an American "idol" and "tradition" that has exalted itself above God and has caused millions of American Christians to hand their children over to the "god" of statism, socialism, and humanism, and it's all because of slothfulness, covetousness, pleasure, and convenience. Many of us Christian parents are guilty of "slothfulness," which is the immoral behavior of choosing to do the easy thing, the convenient thing, the comfortable thing, rather than doing the RIGHT THING...

DO the RIGHT thing! It's not too late to DO the RIGHT thing.

It's not too late for you to take personal responsibility for educating your children the way that God Almighty REQUIRES of all who claim to know Him, love Him, and follow Him.

Here's a short segment of an interview with Ken Ham on Creation vs. Evolution: Is God's Word Your Foundation?

This is basic Christianity, and this issue is most importantly an issue of OBEDIENCE to GOD and to the commandments of Jesus Christ, who said:

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word..." John 14:23

"He who does not love Me does not keep My Words..." John 14:24

"If you abide in My Word, you are truly My disciples. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." John 8:31-32

God Is Calling America's Christians to Repentance

As a result of 200+ years of humanistic indoctrination, perverted thinking, and theological apostasy, I fear that America as a whole is no longer a moral and religious people as we were in the 1700's. Yes, there are many who are both religious and moral, but the vast majority of Americans seem to have long ago been seduced off the path of life by the enemy's deceptions and worldly philosophies. They are no longer governed internally by God's Law and God's Spirit, and in the place of self-government, they have given themselves over to indulgence and immorality and lawlessness, while at the same time coming under greater dependence upon the State.

Our great Constitution was truly made for a moral and Christian people who were capable of being self-governed in their persons, families, businesses, and affairs. Without that moral and Christian virtue and foundation, the Constitution is being torn to shreds daily because the people themselves and most of their leaders are living lawless lives, without restraint, without moral principles, without the fear of God before their eyes. Truly, we live in a time similar to the time of Jesus' ministry among a wicked, perverted, and adulterous generation.

The only answer I have from spending much time with the Father in His Word, is the same answer that God has already given to His people throughout Biblical history and church history: Repentance, returning to God with all of our hearts, producing fruits in keeping with repentance.

Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ himself, and the apostles, all spoke the same message of repentance and returning to God and keeping His commandments. The same message is proclaimed by Jesus through His revelation to the apostle John in the Apocalypse. In each case, the message is to God's people rather than to the pagan world. It is always a call and a warning to the people of God, to the saints, to the "called out ones" (the Church), to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. This is a calling forth of the remnant of God's saints to come out from among the pagan world and be separate, be holy, be separated wholly unto God alone. The key Scripture usually quoted is 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says it all so clearly and concisely. Yes, our repentance must begin with and be established on humility before God, on getting on our knees and praying and confessing our sins and repenting of our sins to God, and this must be accompanied by the fruit of actually turning away from our wicked ways as we seek first the face of God and His righteousness.

I believe the answer to America's crisis is for every true disciple of Jesus to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14 on a daily basis and to come together with other saints to do this and affirm this in a corporate fashion as well. This means our leaders must rise up and lead the repentance with the saints. Repentance begins with confessing our poverty of spirit taught in the Beattitudes, along with mourning over our sins and the sins of our nation and of the church. Jeremiah 4:3-4 "Break up your fallow ground and do not sow among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the Lord and remove the foreskins of your heart." Finally, Jeremiah 2:13 states that God's people have committed two great evils: "They have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, and they have hewed out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." I encourage every disciple of Jesus to forsake, renounce, and destroy ever self-hewed cistern (idol) in their lives and  RETURN to the LORD God Almighty, Yahweh, our heavenly Father, who is the only fountain of living waters, and to His Son, Jesus Christ, who promised: "If any man is thirsty, let him COME TO ME and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scriptures said, From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water." John 7:37-38

Repentance is a work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of His children. It begins with humility of heart, mourning, meekness, and hungering and thirsting for righteousness. It begins with the receiving and developing of the fear of the Lord in the face of God's holiness and majesty. It manifests itself in sowing mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking, joyful suffering for righteousness, and then allowing God to use us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

The root of the problem of America is spiritual, not political, not economic, not social, not technological, not governmental. As such, we need to use spiritual weapons to wage spiritual warfare against what is destroying the foundations of our nation. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual, to the pulling down of strongholds and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God. What are our spiritual weapons that we need to battle with? Humility of heart, repentance of sin, returning to God with all of our hearts, prayer and fasting, the Word of God (His Sword of the Spirit), the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the laying down of our lives for Christ and the brethren, the word of our testimony, faith in God, praise, thanksgiving, worship in spirit and truth, love, forgiveness, holiness, the preaching and teaching of God's Word, the educating of generations for Christ, the godly training of our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, etc. These are our spiritual weapons that we need to devote ourselves to using if we ever want to fight the good fight of faith, overcome evil with good, and walk in victory in Christ.

God's Word the Foundation for Educating Generations for Christ

In this perverted and adulterous generation, what a novel idea to establish education for Christian children and youth on the Holy Word of God. During the Reformation, Christians all over Europe established institutions of higher learning founded on God's Word. In fact, the Christian leaders of the English Colonies in America in the 17th century established schools, colleges, and seminaries all founded upon the Word of God. From 1636, when Harvard College was founded, right up through 1805, almost all education in America was founded upon and occupied with the Scriptures.

In fact, here is Harvard University's original mission statement:

"Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well the end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, and therefore to lay Christ in the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning."

This is amazing to me! Harvard's educational philosophy and purpose was so clear and Biblically sound at its founding. Tragically, in 1805 the liberal Unitarians completely took over Harvard University and kicked out all of the Bible-believing professors and administrators. As the above quote by Martin Luther states so clearly, Harvard University became corrupt because it rejected the authority of the Word of God and was no longer occupied with it or founded upon it. Harvard had the right original vision and purpose in education, and it held to its course for nearly 170 years, but slowly the lies and deceptions of the enemy crept in. What Jesus called, "the leaven of the Scribes and Pharisees," spread from a few to the many, until the majority took complete control and kicked God and His Word out of the university.

Today we need new Christian institutions that are founded upon the authority of Jesus Christ and God's Holy Word. We need new Christian universities, Christian colleges, Bible colleges, Christian private schools, and Christian home schools. We must establish them on the only foundation that can be laid: Jesus Christ and obedience to His commandments, for this is truly the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning.
